GM-TC05 Energy Storage Composite Fire Detector
Five parameters in one detector for lithium battery energy storage: hydrogen, carbon monoxide, VOC, smoke and temperature.
Overview
Five sensing channels in one housing: hydrogen, carbon monoxide, VOC, smoke and temperature. The GM-TC05 is built for lithium battery energy storage, where thermal runaway develops in stages. Off-gassing comes first, then smoke, then a rapid temperature rise.
Because all five parameters sit in the same device, one unit covers the whole chain instead of leaving the early stage to a separate gas sensor. The layout fits the one-detector-per-module approach used in containerised storage cabins, and the alarm logic can be reprogrammed per cabin or cluster.
Mounting is magnetic and drill-free, so the cabin enclosure is not modified. Dual temperature sensors with self-diagnostics run alongside the gas channels, which guards against a single sensing point failing silently.
Specifications
Values below are for the standard configuration. Gas, range, sampling mode, housing and output are set at order, so confirm against the datasheet before design freeze.

Technical background
The specification above only makes sense alongside the constraints behind it. These notes explain how the numbers on this page are usually set.
IP65 and IP66 differ by one digit and one washdown hose
The first digit is dust and both grades pass it. The second digit is water, and the gap between a 12.5 litre jet and a 100 litre jet is the gap between a hose and a pressure washer.
Read the guide →Choosing the sensing principle before you choose the model
Four principles cover most industrial gas detection. Picking the wrong one gives readings that look plausible and are wrong, so the decision comes before the model number.
